Enrollment Drive In Progress Today for State All Kids Health Insurance
Today, in locations across the Chicagoland area, volunteers will be on hand to help families learn more about and enroll in the Illinois state children's health insurance program All Kids.
On this page, you can view a list of locations where volunteers will be available.
All Kids provides health care for children whose parents either can't afford private health insurance or don't qualify for Medicaid and other assistance programs.
According to a recent report by the Sun Times, a sponsor of today's enrollment drive, studies estimate between 200,000 AND 376,000 children in Illinois are uninsured.
The All Kids program has no income requirement and bases monthly premiums and doctor co-pays on household income and family size.
The plan covers everything from immunizations and prescription drugs to medical equipment, hospital visits and highly specialized care.
Parents can also call 877-RES-INFO to find the nearest location to sign up your kids on June 21.
Applications are accepted online at anytime at www.allkids.com/ application.html or by calling 866-ALL-KIDS.
The state has set a goal to enroll at least 1,000 kids in today's enrollment efforts.
