Green Parent Chicago was founded in 2008 by Christine Escobar as a welcoming harbor for Chicago area parents interested in natural family living and caring for the environment. At Green Parent Chicago we believe natural parenting, green living and environmentalism are all segments of the same continuum. On our pages, readers will find stories of natural birth, breastfeeding, organic and vegetarian nutrition, alternative education, non-traditional families, home schooling, environmentalism and simple living among other topics.
We intend to be independent editorially and aim to provide information, support and discussion for issues close to the hearts of families who trust the instinctive nature of the parent-child bond and want to foster a child's respect for the environment.
